End of year Prom/Ball/Party

Hi everyone,

I would like a bit of advice on what our end of year ball will be called this year. We don't particularly want it to be called Prom as it makes it feel too much like school (and america apparently).

We want something that says:

• everyone can go, even if they are staying on at college next year.

• We want it to be a formal black tie event, so it is like a ball/prom, but we dont want it to sound to expensive and snobbish.

• And we want it to be seen as the biggest event of the year

The ideas we had were the formal or SDC (South Devon College) Prom.

Any good ideas?
